Dance of the Hummingbirds is a musical dance project based on the seed concept of Portland choreographer Jayanthi Raman. The production reflects human being's struggles and challenges faced in life and how one draws upon inner strength to overcome them. The production is a confluence of dance, music, images and literature.

This contemporary ballet re-telling of the legendary masked Diego de la Vega—aka “El Zorro” (the Fox)—premiered in 2013. Choreographer-Producers Donna Marisa and Hannah Bontrager’s ZORRO®: The Ballet tells the origin story of the titular hero, set in a world in flux: Spanish America and Barcelona, a backdrop including decadent romance and fierce political intrigue, conflict between Native Americans and Spanish hacendados and great rivals from worlds of privilege.

Ballet Fantastique’s world premiere contemporary ballet The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a wickedly funny new adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic tale of superstition and rivalry. Choreographers Donna and Hannah Bontrager bring Ballet Fantastique’s signature wit and verve to this sumptuous and all-original romantic comedy spoof, fusing Colonial American whimsy with electric guitar and violin music as would-be hero Ichabod Crane confronts his desires, fears, and—of course—the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, in pursuit of his love, Katrina.
Mowgli – The Jungle Book Ballet returns to the Hult Center after its spectacular 2012 world premiere! Experience the spirited adventures of Mowgli as he befriends and grows up with Baloo the Bear, and battles the larger-than-life Shere Khan the Tiger and Kaa the Snake. An exotic retelling of Rudyard Kipling’s stories enjoyed by all ages, with fanciful costumes, masks, sets and world music that creates the magic of young Mowgli’s life in the jungle.
