This Mother’s Day weekend, choreographer-producers Donna and Hannah Bontrager re-imagine the centerpiece of the 1001 Nights with a Ballet Fantastique twist in an all-new Aladdin. Follow our indomitable hero, not through the golden age of legends, but rather through the turbulent 1970s in a provocative and playful version of this oft-told tale. With Satin Love Orchestra’s showstopping versions of the classic anthems of Queen, and the set design of brilliant Eugene-based designer Don Carson, Aladdin delivers all the color and tumult of the ‘70s, BFan style.
