Heitman's Heroes: A Benefit for Dana Heitman

MCD

The benefit, produced by area musicians and people working in concert production, is for Dana Heitman, who has experienced serious medical complications recently.

Dana, who plays trumpet, wrote most (if not all) of the horn parts for the Cherry Poppin' Daddies as a veteran member of the Daddies since the bands inception. Dana has also been a long time member of Satin Love Orchestra, the band director for The Essentials, as well as a member of many different bands in the region for almost 30 years.

Ari Shapiro: Homeward

Ari Shapiro: Homeward

As a reporter, NPR’s "All Things Considered" host Ari Shapiro has witnessed wars and revolutions. Inspired by his experiences around the globe, Ari created a one man show, HOMEWARD, featuring the songs of upheaval, patriotism and hope, from places that are less far away than they seem. The show debuted in Washington, DC in April and recently played to enthusiastic crowds at Joe’s Pub in NYC.
