That 1 Guy (aka Mike Silverman) amazes audiences with performances that are equal parts innovative sonic spectacle and entertaining visual showcase. The Bay Area based classically trained jazz bassist turned musical mad scientist treks across the country with his Magic pipe, a homemade instrument concocted out of steel plumbing tube that allows Silverman to deliver a mind-bending amalgamation of percussive rhythm and sound.

As the dynamic one-man band acrobatically bangs away on the pipe, while plucking a single bass string and scatting vocal phrases, he creates digitally enhanced rhythmic grooves that can easily roller coaster from acid jazz cacophony to dance friendly funk.

The “Moustaches + Laser Beams” Tour promises to be That 1 Guy’s most inventive. While the “Moustaches” comes from a composition on the 2007 critically hailed album The Moon Is Disgusting, Silverman is still envisioning the role of the ”Laser Beams.”

“I’m upping the ante with the stage show,” says Silverman, There are going to be more visual tricks. I want them to be surprises, and I can’t wait to spring them on people. There will definitely be moustaches, and there may or may not be laser beams. I’ve been fine tuning the pipe all summer and creating a whole different show."

Minus the Bear with Rooney

November 30th: Minus the Bear is an indie rock band from Seattle, Washington that incorporates elements of ambience and sonic experimentation while maintaining indie influences.

Morrissey

November 30th:

Less Than Jake

December 1st:

Justin Nozuka

December 1st: Blending elements of neo-soul, folk, old-time blues and pop, Justin has the guts of Ray LaMontagne and the soul of Lauryn Hill.
