Oregon Wind Ensemble

The Oregon Wind Ensemble presents an evening of energetic works in our “Like a TedTalk” series where members of the ensemble, the conductor, and our soloists provide brief looks at the repertoire in an effort to engage the audience. We open with Anna Clyne’s Masquerade which is an energetic opener that is sure to captivate audiences. We continue the program with River of Time by David Biedenbender – a trumpet concerto featuring our very own Miki Sasaki. We close the program with Rimski Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnole.

SOMD: Oregon Camerata

Join the Oregon Camerata, featuring standout players from the University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra, for an evening of electrifying contrasts—Schnittke’s sly Polyphonic Tango, Stravinsky’s sparkling Eight Miniatures, and Lutosławski’s mesmerising Chain 1. Paired with Mendelssohn’s passionate String Symphony in D minor and the timeless brilliance of Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 1, this program promises a vivid journey through wit, color, and elegance.
