Viano Quartet with Nina Bernat

Acclaimed bassist Nina Bernat joins the dynamic Viano Quartet – all five winners of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant – for an afternoon of string quartets and quintets. Their program features two Chamber Music Northwest-commissioned works written especially for them by composers Alistair Coleman and Kian Ravaei, as well as the soaring melodies and Czech-inspired rhythms in Dvořák’s second string quintet (with the added power and depth of Bernat’s double bass!).
